Too much indirect light. Tolerates a few hours of weaker sunshine.
We suggest watering frequently in summer and moderately in winter. In summer: Do not let the soil dry. Water with little water, but always. In winter: Watering will be less frequent, as the earth will take longer to dry. So there is no risk of root rot at this time, let the earth dry at least 1/2 before watering.
Use well-airy substrate that dines completely between waterings. The best mixture would be a mixed peat with addition of sand, perlite and pine bark.
Ideally between 18 and 22°C. Alocasia originates from the rainforest, so you like hot, humid environments.
Fertilize with universal compost, fertilizer for green plants or organic fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer) and reduce the frequency during winter. Follow the label indications.
